Sciara sets an imaginary narrative in which humans are striving through an ever-increasingly hostile climate and environment. Following a group of survivors, we board on a metaphorical journey in a quasi-foreseeable future where our planet has shifted onto an extreme geological era, forcing humans to a constant migration and reconnect to our ancestral nature of “climate travellers”. Titling this project, Sciara, is the Sicilian word defining the path/stream of lava after the eruption. A dry element where nature struggles to flourish. The aim of this visual narrative is to stimulate awareness on the ways climate change may affect our life and comforts. Directed by Glauco Canalis and Spencer Young
