Jungle Fever This short movie by Takuma Kuikuro (Amazonia/Brazil – 2022 ) documents the struggle of the Amazonian Xingu tribes trying to save their habitat from the fires, to protect their ecosystem and the many rare species that live in the rainforest. We hear the cry of a jaguar that is the warning that a danger is approaching. The Xingu Indigenous go into a state of alert, hurrying back to the village to warn the people that something is about to happen. The forest guardians leave the village to confront the danger. It’s fire, the forest is burning, all kinds of animals are dying. The guardians run in search of water to put out the fire in the forest, and try to help the animals. Strong scenes of destruction of the home, of the Indigenous’ forest. The Indigenous are watching the forest and the animals are crying.
