Rooms Remembered

Stanislav Zhukovsky’s In the Old House (1913) invites viewers into a sunlit interior where time seems to pause. This slow art video lingers on the interplay of light and shadow, the warmth of wooden floors, and the quiet presence of everyday objects. Zhukovsky, blending Impressionist techniques with Russian Realism, captures the soul of a lived-in space, evoking a sense of nostalgia and tranquility. As you engage with each detail, the painting reveals a harmonious balance between the transient and the eternal.
