A Painting of Paintings David Teniers the Younger painted a room full of paintings, and then painted the man who owned them standing in it. This slow art encounter moves along walls hung frame to frame, floor to ceiling, with canvases stacked against the base where there was no space left. The Archduke stands among them in black, unhurried. It is a picture about looking at pictures, which makes it an odd and fitting thing to look at slowly. This work can be seen at The Museo Nacional del Prado.
