The Bonding

This film by Michelle-Marie Letelier is the result of a digital and 16mm-film documentation of a bonding with farmed salmon during their 2,5-years programmed life. The project started on December 12th, 2019, with 100 genetically modified Salmo Salar eggs at the Institute of Marine Research (IMR) in Matre, Norway, and culminated with 16 salmons on March 3rd, 2022. Filmed at the Institute of Marine Research (IMR) in Matre, Norway, between 2019-2022.
