The grey box Throughout South Eastern Australia, woodlands with Grey Box trees (Eucalyptus microcarpa) are under threat by habitat destruction and climate change. This video was recorded in Grey Box woodland along the border of Belair National Park in South Australia. Behind the camera, the Park adjoins a railway line, a road, and houses, where much of the habitat is badly degraded. Invisible to the viewer, human activities are heard in the audio underneath the calls of native birds living in the woodlands. The video animations subtly distort the appearance of the woodland, forcing us to look more closely at the potential for loss right before our eyes. Film by Ian Gibbins
