Despite having over a million people, dense traffic congestion and a busy airport, San Diego is inhabited by lush vegetation that spreads throughout the city, seemingly impassive to bustling human activity. This creates quiet and intimate corners where the greenery and colours of a wide variety of plants contrast with the constant background city noise.
