Discover once more the magic of Joana Vasconcelos’ very special Garden of Eden. The glowing field of flowers is made from compact fluorescent light bulbs, plastic flowers, synchronous micro-motors, transparent polychrome acrylic discs, and a low-tech electric system. The artificial flowers emerge from cylinders that are coated in black Lycra. Inside the black Lycra cylinders, there are lights, motors, and rotating discs that activate the lights and give them a similar appearance to the glowing and flickering displays of optical fiber lighting.
