Merry Christmas to the Christian World. Attributed to the Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci, this painting is dating from circa 1472-1475. It represents the angel Gabriel, sent by God to announce to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive and give birth to a son named Jesus. This masterpiece is housed in the Uffizi Gallery of Florence.
