The Florentine artist, Paolo Uccello, painted The Battle of San Romano to describe the events that took place in that battle between Florentine and Sienese forces in 1432. This work is a set of three paintings, they reveal the development of linear perspective in early Italian Renaissance painting. They are now divided between three museums: The National Gallery in London, Galleria degli Uffizi end the Louvre Museum in Paris.
