Mondrian: From Trees to Squares

Piet Mondrian was born in Netherlands in 1872 and was a famous abstract painter. He grew up during the tail end of Impressionism and his most recognized works are abstract paintings of colored squares, black lines and rectangles. His artworks reflect several instances of a definite Post-Impressionist, emotive use of colors.
