Shiraz Mosaics: Ceiling of the Mausoleum Dedicated to the Poet Hafis

Khwāja Shams-ud-Dīn Muḥammad Ḥāfeẓ-e Shīrāzī, known by his pen name Hafez and as "Hafiz", was a Persian writer. He is considered the Shakespeare of Iran. His tomb is in a peaceful garden full of mosaic, in an ambience of poetry and romance. The original structure was built in 1773 and then modified in 1930.
