Ancient Zone

At the ancient Thracian city of Mesimvria-Zone in Northern Greece, choreographer Apostolia Papadamaki creates an immersive ANAMNESIS performance connecting archaeological heritage, nature and the human body. The first part of Ancient Zone invites audiences to move through the archaeological landscape and discover the values, stories and memories embedded within the ancient city. As evening falls, the experience culminates with the Full Moon rising over the Thracian Sea, accompanied by movement, music and ancient texts. Landscape, celestial time and performance converge, transforming the archaeological site into a place of collective remembrance.
