Isaac Julien | Lessons of the Hour

In collaboration with the Edinburgh Art Festival, Isaac Julien, and the Scottish National Galleries, Shifting Vision created a bespoke film which premiered on July 29 in the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. Following in the footsteps of abolitionist and freedom fighter Frederick Douglass throughout the city of Edinburgh, the film brings to life Isaac Julien’s visionary ten-screen installation ’Lessons of the Hour’ through the insights of the artist.
