Freedom Kiss

Tammam Azzam’s poignant digital reimagining projects Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss onto a crumbling Syrian facade where golden lovers meet amidst ruins of war. The Slow Art video reveals layer by layer: the burnished gold tiles, vibrant flower motifs, and ghostly human forms embossed on shattered concrete. The contrast between lyrical love and stark devastation grips the viewer’s gaze. As light seems to shift across the montage, you sense both the echo of Klimt’s romantic ideal and Azzam’s urgent plea: to remember beauty and hope even when the world falls apart.
